Our Primary service! We will read through your manuscript, correcting any errors in spelling, punctuation, syntax, usage, or grammar. Some sentences might be combined—or broken up—to aid in readability. We will also check for consistency, such as in spelling or style, within the manuscript.

Our basic package consists of two passes though the manuscript: after the first pass, we will return your manuscript for you to read through and accept or reject any changes, then we’ll make another pass to edit any new material you may have added. In the end, you will receive both a marked-up and a clean copy of your manuscript.

Our rates start at $0.02 /word, for larger projects, or $ 25 /hour, for small projects. Rates for additional passes or other services will be determined for each individual project.

For manuscripts that have already been edited and are almost ready to go! We will make one pass through your manuscript, fixing any typos, obvious grammatical or usage errors, missing punctuation, or formatting errors.

Proofreading services are for works that are almost ready to be published. It does not include any editing for consistency or clarity.

Our rates start at $25 /hour.

For manuscripts that are brand new and haven’t seen any editing!

We will read through your manuscript, leaving notes in the margins concerning the Big Picture items—story, plot, and characters. You will also receive a full report, summarizing our thoughts and making suggestions for improvement. There won’t be any editing done at this stage, but we will let you know about any recurring grammatical or stylistic issues that will need to be corrected.

Our rates start at $50 for manuscripts under 40,000 words.
